Chore Provider Program

Helping You Maintain Independence, Comfort, and Safety at Home

At Family Service Agency of Mid-Michigan (FSA), we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own home. Our Chore Provider Program offers in-home assistance to individuals who need support with everyday household tasks, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

FSA proudly serves adults of all ages, from age 18 through the end of life, by connecting individuals with reliable in-home support tailored to their needs. Whether you need occasional assistance or ongoing help with daily household responsibilities, our program is designed to make life at home a little easier.

Three Ways to Access Care

1. Medicaid / DHHS

Eligible individuals may qualify for chore services through Medicaid and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Services are based on eligibility, assessed needs, and program requirements. FSA works to help eligible individuals access the support they need to remain safely in their homes.

2. Private Pay — $25 Per Hour

For individuals who do not qualify for publicly funded services or prefer to pay privately, FSA offers chore services at an affordable rate of $25 per hour. This option provides a direct way to access in-home assistance based on individual needs and service availability.

3. Genesee County Senior Millage

Eligible older adults in Genesee County may qualify for chore services funded through the Genesee County Senior Millage. This funding helps qualifying seniors access essential in-home support, promoting safety, independence, and the ability to remain in their homes and communities.
